L’Atelier, espace de vie et de création qu’Isabelle a installé au cœur de sa maison du quartier Louise à Bruxelles, où les originaux en terre prennent forme en côtoyant les bronzes, où les croquis se dessinent au gré de son inspiration. Un lieu à géométrie variable dont les frontières s’étendent jusqu’à la fonderie d’art Avangini qui fabrique ses bronzes depuis plus de vingt ans.

Isabelle y travaille très régulièrement, pour la retouche systématique des cires sorties des moules en élastomère jusqu’à la supervision de la patine, et plus ponctuellement pour la réalisation des terres de certaines œuvres monumentales. Des croquis à la terre, de la terre au bronze : l’atelier, ou la mécanique des sculptures en devenir. Plus qu’un lieu, une équipe.

The workshop, a space for living and creation that Isabelle has installed in the heart of her house in the Louise district in Brussels, where the originals in clay take shape close to the bronzes, where sketches are drawn according to her inspiration. A place with variable geometry whose boundaries extend to the Avangini art foundry which has been making her bronzes for more than twenty years.

Isabelle works there very regularly, for the systematic retouching of the waxes exit out of the elastomer molds until the supervision of the patina, and more punctually for the realization of the originals in clay of certain monumental pieces. From sketches to clay, from clay to bronze : the workshop, or the mechanics of sculptures in becoming. More than a place, a team.
